A father and son team, the eye doctors have a over 50 years of experience between them. Both are members of the American Optometric Association and the New Mexico Optometric Association.
Our mission:
Dr. David J. Babington has been practicing at Drs. Babington and Babington since 2001. He has brought many valuable qualities and services to the practice, including state of the art technology for top notch diagnostic capabilities. Always at the forefront of optometry’s advances, he stays current by taking part in continuing education and professional seminars.
Dr. Babington specializes in ocular disease management, difficult contact lens fittings, and pediatrics. He receives high marks with bedside manner and communication on status of eye health. Dr. Babington is a member of the American Optometric Association, New Mexico Optometric Association. Dr. Babington was born and raised in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended Arizona State University with a degree in Microbiology. He graduated from optometry school at Illinois College of Optometry with high honors and showed leadership in all of his clinical rotations.
Dr. Babington loves spending time with his wife, sons, friends and family. His interests include running, Jiu Jitsu, traveling, reading fiction, and endurance running.
Drs. Babington and Babington are joined by a team of opticians, eyewear stylists, and kind patient care professionals to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience.
Dr. S. David Babington is a board certified optometrist specializing in the areas of specialty contact lens fittings (hard to fit, dry eyes, astigmatism, work/lifestyle considerations), ocular disease treatment and dry eye management.
Also, Dr. Babington’s thorough knowledge and experience in ophthalmic optics has continually helped patients in their comfort and design of their eyewear. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, New Mexico Optometric Association. Dr. Babington is an Idaho native. After attending the University of Houston for undergraduate studies, he decided to stay in Houston for optometry school at University of Houston, School of Optometry.
Dr. Babington knows first hand how important good eye sight is to playing your favorite sports. He is an avid golfer, runner, biker and outdoorsman. He loves traveling, reading about history and spending time with his grand kids.
